Engaging in systematic, ongoing assessment allows faculty to collect and evaluate evidence to discover the extent to which students are attaining the desired learning outcomes for a particular program of study. The findings may be used to document teaching effectiveness, improve the quality of programs, and aid in achieving the University's mission and goals.
