The Center for Teaching & Learning Design invites you to showcase your scholarly research
and creative works during Stockton’s Celebration of Scholarship on Monday, April 7th. The Celebration of Scholarship is part of the University's Scholarship, Teaching,
and Research Symposium (STARS) celebration taking place this Spring on main campus.
PURPOSE:
The Celebration of Scholarship allows presenters to share their scholarly and creative
work with the Stockton community. The purpose of this event is to showcase the work
of faculty and staff while creating opportunities for networking and increasing awareness
of our scholarly work.
PRESENTATION OPPORTUNITIES:
Onsite Sessions (in the Campus Center):

Presentation* (25 minutes) from 11:00am-4:00pm in the Campus Center

Roundtable discussion* (45 minutes) from 1:30-4:00pm in Campus Center Main Event Room

Panel presentation* (25 or 50 minutes) from 11:00am-4:00pm in the Campus Center

Poster presentation from 10:00-11:00am in the BOT room. Posters should be removed at the end of the poster presentation session.

*Note: Due to scheduling limitations, an individual presenter (faculty/staff or faculty-sponsored
student) may only present (or be listed as a presenter) at one onsite presentation,
roundtable, or panel presentation session. Presenters wishing to share additional
information about scholarly pursuits may present at the poster presentation session
or provide pre-recorded sessions. Acknowledgement of additional presenters may be
accomplished by listing collaborators as credited partners in the application process.
ELIGIBILITY:
The application deadline is 11:59pm (ET) on Friday, February 21st. All Stockton faculty and staff members are invited to submit an application. Presentations
may be works-in-progress, substantially developed, or completed projects. Those strongly
encouraged to apply include:

Recent recipients of internal or external funding.

Faculty-sponsored advanced students projects that are substantially more than a class project.

Scholarly projects in academic disciplines, pedagogy, community engagement, or other current issues in higher education.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Faculty or staff should complete and submit this application by February 21st. All
applications are peer reviewed based on criteria listed in the peer-review rubric.
Information in the application, as well as the presentation itself, should be developed
and written to promote understanding of the project by the general public.
Complete only one application per presentation. Panel participants should submit a joint application,
indicating if proposing a single (25 minutes) or double (50 minutes) session. There
are limited opportunities for panel presentation double sessions due to scheduling.
APPLICATION REVIEW & ACCEPTANCE:
Applications will be peer-reviewed within 10 business days from the submission deadline.
Applicants will be notified of the peer-review decision by March 15th.
The peer review scoring process evaluates content and alignment with the institutional
strategic goals. Additionally, scheduling requests and creating a balanced program
are considered in acceptance of applications to be included in the Celebration of
Scholarship event.
Peer reviewed accepted onsite presentations will be scheduled according to time allotment
and adherence with any schedule conflicts listed on the applicant's application. Accepted
applicants submitting pre-recorded sessions will receive specific recording formatting
instructions and are encouraged to provide an email address to permit communication
with viewers of the presentation.
