It is important to understand and estimate the full cost of your education abroad program. There are education abroad experiences to fit every student's budget.

Three key factors that will affect your cost:

  1. Destination - Where you go affects how much it will cost, such as some countries have a higher cost of living and some destinations might have a higher airfare. You may use the Department of State's Foreign Pier Diem Rate as a reference.
  2. Provider - The program fees vary across providers. Please check various providers for their programs and pay close attention on what is included in their program fees.
  3. Travel Date - The time you go will affect how much it costs. Summers are generally cheaper than Semesters. But there is no financial aid associated with summer sessions.

Semeser-long education abroad programs via providers can cost anywhere from $13,000 to the low $20,000. The majority of programs will cost between $16,000-$18,000 per semester.

Keep In Mind

Another way to see the cost of your education abroad program is that Stockton does not collect money from you during your abroad, and all of these money are spent on your education abroad programs.

Example: If it costs you $14,000 for a semester at Stockton for tuition, fees and room & board, and if your education abroad program estimated full cost is $17,000!

Abroad Estimate:          $17,000*
Campus Estimate:        $14,000*
Estimate Extra Cost:    $3,000*

*This is an example. Please meet with Office of Global Engagement for a more accurate cost calculation for your program.
