Transfer Student Information

Live Stockton As a Transfer Student

Welcome to Stockton University as you prepare to transfer to Stockton, Livestocktonconsider living on campus.  Living on campus is one of the best parts of college or university experiences. Research has shown that students who attend liberal arts institutions, who live on campus also have significantly higher G.P.A.'s than comparable students at institutions who live off campus (Turley & Wodtke, 2010).

As a residential student you have access to close parking lots, and programs and activities that other students do not have.  Transfer students are deliberately housed together so students can have a shared experiences with students of similar experiences.  The resident assistants in Housing 1 are specially trained to work and provide programming for transfer students.

Apply to live on campus

Once you are admitted to Stockton University and have submitted your enrollment deposit, housing options will be presented to you based upon your status as a transfer student.  You should closely review your options and complete your housing application as soon as possible which will improve your chances of living in the style of room and your requested roommate(s).  Some transfer students will initially be labeled as a freshmen transfer however, once Academic Advising has had an opportunity to evaluate your transcript your classification will be adjusted.  Freshmen transfer and Upperclassmen transfer students have the same housing options, so no one is at a disadvantage.

The housing application can be found within your go.Stockton portal under the Student Life tab.

Through the housing application you can access the roommate finder tool and and self-select the style of room you would like to live in. Requests can never be guaranteed, however Residential Life prioritizes roommates matches over the style of room based upon student feedback.  Students who sign the contract agree to live on campus for the entire academic year, please read the document carefully prior to signing it.
