Community Service

Student Success Scholars Program participants are required to complete one community service activity each semester. This activity should be at least two hours long or more and may take place on-campus or off-campus.

Simply visit the Office of Service Learning.

1.Atlantic City Rescue Mission Care Packages: Fall 2022

ACRM helps over thousands of homeless and working poor people per year and is the largest provider of comprehensive services to about 25% of the entire state of New Jersey's homeless population. This semester scholars are invited to participate in making care packages that will be delivered to the mission. Each care package must have at least 7 items. Care packages can be dropped off in F109b.This project's deadline is to be determined by September 29, 2022.

Be My Eyes is an app that connects blind people with volunteer helpers from around the world via live video chat. Visit their web site now and start helping blind people see.

3. Participate in Clean Communities Program in partnership with Galloway Township. The mission is to reduce litter in public places, promote the volunteer cleanup of public lands and sustain a reduction in litter through education.
