Governance Structure

Stockton’s governance system contains the standard elements of collegiate governance:

Administrative councils (Deans Council)

In addition, Stockton includes several unions which “collaborate” on a number of issues related to working conditions.

The faculty union is:

International Federation of Professional and Technical Engineers (IFPTE):

The New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, Inc.

The New Jersey Superior Officers Association (NJSOA)

The New Jersey Law Enforcement Supervisors Association (NJLESA)

We have considered the effectiveness of the units as independent deliberative bodies and as units connected to one another.
