Welcome to Stockton Fall 2025

Welcome to the Nest, Ospreys!

Welcome programs are designed to help you embrace Stockton as your home, providing opportunities for you to learn, build connections, and grow into your best self. As you commit to Stockton, Welcome programs are intended to unify and empower students to take the following actions: 1) connect to other students, staff, and faculty during programs provided before classes begin and throughout the academic year 2) contribute to a more safe, inclusive, and welcoming community, and 3) complete your degree at Stockton.

All new students are expected to attend Welcome events noted on your schedule that is unique to you. The programs provide opportunities for you to meet your peers, help you become familiar with the institution, and show you how to safely and successfully navigate the campus community. Some events are mandatory for all new students no matter if you are a first-year student, transfer student, commuter, or residential student. Attendance will be taken.

 

*Please note: Students must utilize their meal plans or personal funds for all meals during the Welcome Programs. This Welcome Program schedule is subject to change, check this website for our most up to date version!

Common Questions (Spring 2026)

All new students should have taken or uploaded their Student ID card photo as part of their New Student Orientation process.  Your ID card can be used to access campus facilities, purchase meals, and to purchase supplies at the campus book store.

New Residential Students: First-year and transfer students that are living in University housing will receive their ID card on their move-in day during their Residential Life check-in time.

New Commuter Students: First-year and transfer commuter students can receive their ID cards from the Student Records office during normal business hours.

If you did not take your photo for your student ID while on campus for New Student Orientation, you can follow the link below to submit a student ID photo online. Click here to log in with your Stockton (goPortal) credentials and submit your Student ID Photo.

Yes, all new students participate in any noted Mandatory welcome programs taking place, and attendance at social events are highly encouraged to gain comfort and connections on campus! Attendance for all mandatory and optional events will be taken by scanning your personal Event Pass QR code. Download your Event Pass QR code by clicking here and logging in with your Stockton credentials.

  • Identify practices and resources that promote safety, health and belonging at Stockton University.
  • Identify practices and resources that will help students successfully engage and navigate new or unfamiliar circumstances.
  • Identify practices and resources that will help students develop an understanding and appreciation of cultural and human differences and their role in promoting social justice in society.
