Welcome to the Nest, Ospreys!
Welcome programs are designed to help you embrace Stockton as your home, providing opportunities for you to learn, build connections, and grow into your best self. As you commit to Stockton, Welcome programs are intended to unify and empower students to take the following actions: 1) connect to other students, staff, and faculty during programs provided before classes begin and throughout the academic year 2) contribute to a more safe, inclusive, and welcoming community, and 3) complete your degree at Stockton.
NEW STUDENT WELCOME PROGRAMS SCHEDULE SPRING 2025
All new students are expected to attend Welcome events noted on your schedule that is unique to you. The programs provide opportunities for you to meet your peers, help you become familiar with the institution, and show you how to safely and successfully navigate the campus community. Some events are mandatory for all new students no matter if you are a first-year student, transfer student, commuter, or residential student. Attendance will be taken.
*Please note: Students must utilize their meal plans or personal funds for all meals during the Welcome Programs. This Welcome Program schedule is subject to change, check this website for our most up to date version!
Thursday January 16, 2025
11:00am-1:00pm New Student Move-in begins, Campus Center Meeting Room 5
Students will have the option to move-in between 11:00AM-1:00PM if they have already received a housing assignment.
New Students can alternately sign up for their move-in date/time for January 17-January 19 by viewing the Move-in Newsletter sent via email by Residential Life. New Residential students will receive their ID cards when they arrive for move-in.
Friday January 17, 2025 - Spring 2025 Meal Plans are active beginning today!

MANDATORY: Virtual Welcome Session and Assessment will be emailed out to all new undergraduate students for completion.

Tuesday January 21, 2025 - Classes begin
New Commuter Student ID Pick-up available in Office of Student Records, 2nd floor Campus Center during business hours
10:00am-11:30pm Campus Center Game room open
12:00pm-2:00pm Welcome Home Resource Fair, AC Kesselman Hall - Fireside Lounge, come by for snacks and a chance to win a free TV!
4:00pm-5:30pm Winter Welcome Event, Campus Center Grand Hall, come by to create some connections, enjoy light refreshments, a grab FREE T-Shirt!
MANDATORY: 4 Vector online courses DUE for all new students. All new students are required to complete the 4 online courses before classes begin.
These courses are available after your New Student Orientation day and access information
will be sent to your Stockton email or you can visit https://stocktonstudents-nj.safecolleges.com/login

- Sexual Violence Prevention (approximately 75 min)
- Personal Skills for a Diverse Campus (approximately 47 min)
- Mental Well-Being for Students (approximately 60 minutes)

Common Questions (Spring 2025)
All new students should have taken their Student ID card photo during their New Student Orientation day. Your ID card can be used to access campus facilities, purchase meals, and to purchase supplies at the campus book store.
New Residential Students: First-year and transfer students that are living in University housing will receive their ID card on their move-in day during their Residential Life check-in time.
New Commuter Students: First-year and transfer commuter students can receive their ID cards by visiting the office of Student Records on the 2nd floor of the Campus Center during business hours beginning on the first day of classes, Tuesday January 21, 2025.
If you did not take your photo for your student ID while on campus for New Student Orientation, you can follow the link below to submit a student ID photo online. Click here to log in with your Stockton (goPortal) credentials and submit your Student ID Photo.
Shuttles will follow their Winter hours schedule until January 20th. On January 20th the Lots 8AB Route will run from 5:00pm-10:00pm. The full shuttle schedules will resume on the first day of classes, Tuesday January 21, 2025.

- Identify practices and resources that will help students successfully engage and navigate new or unfamiliar circumstances.
