Welcome to the Stockton University Tutoring Center.
The Tutoring Center is two centers in one: the Writing Center and the Math Center. Both are staffed largely by undergraduate peer tutors recruited from the University at large and trained by the Tutoring Center coordinators. We see the Tutoring Center as an extension of the classroom experience, supporting the efforts of Stockton's faculty. At the core of our mission is the improvement of student performance across Stockton's curriculum.
This semester, our tutors are working remotely, via Zoom; we are also offering limited in-person, socially distant tutoring for students with extenuating circumstances, such as unreliable technology or documented learning differences that may make electronic learning more difficult. If you think you may have reason to seek in-person tutoring, please contact Lauren Fonseca, Coordinator for Academic Support (email@example.com).
The Tutoring Center's Virtual Front Desk
We know that The Tutoring Center is a place where students come with a variety of questions, some related to tutoring, some not. We want to continue to be the Friendliest Place on Campus™, so we are continuing Lauren Rivera's Virtual Front Desk. Lauren will be on Zoom Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-4:00PM with a break for lunch 1:00PM-2:00PM.
