Tutoring Center
Welcome to the Stockton University Tutoring Center.
The Tutoring Center is two centers in one: the Writing Center and the Math Center. Both are staffed largely by undergraduate peer tutors recruited from the University at large and trained by the Tutoring Center coordinators. We see the Tutoring Center as an extension of the classroom experience, supporting the efforts of Stockton's faculty. At the core of our mission is the improvement of student performance across Stockton's curriculum.
We are working to move our schedule onto Ospreys Navigate.
About the Math Center
The Math Center provides peer tutoring to current Stockton students enrolled in mathematics and other math-related subjects from schools across the University.
Some courses, besides mathematics, that we commonly tutor are:
- Accounting and other business courses
- Chemistry
- Economics
- Physics
- Programming
- Statistics
About the Writing Center
The Writing Center serves as a center of writing and writing community at Stockton, a place where you can engage with peers over your writing and writing more generally. Students who write with us:
- Get valuable feedback from a test audience of their peers
- Create an opportunity to reapply, repurpose, and reimagine core writing concepts
- Become better at engaging with diverse audiences in diverse genres and diverse contexts—no matter their starting points
- Find a meaningful place in a community of writers
