Health Care Executive, Alum Dwight McBee to Speak at Commencement
Atlantic City, N.J. — Health care executive Dwight McBee MBA ’15 will be the keynote speaker at the 2025 Baccalaureate Commencement Ceremonies on May 16 at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall.
McBee, who graduated from Stockton with a Master’s in Business Administration, will speak at both ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
“We are honored to welcome Dwight as our 2025 Commencement keynote speaker. Dwight’s journey — from earning his MBA at Stockton to serving as Chief Patient Experience Officer for New Jersey’s largest academic health system — exemplifies the resilience, compassion and commitment to community that we strive to instill in our graduates,” Stockton President Joe Bertolino said. “His dedication to improving patient care will inspire our students as they embark on their own paths of impact and leadership.”
In September 2024, McBee was named to the newly created position of Chief Patient Experience Officer at RWJBarnabas Health. He also serves in that position at RWJBarnabas Health’s flagship academic facility, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
He is responsible for the advancement and integration of patient experience strategies and priorities to align them with RWJBarnabas Health’s mission, values and business goals. He also works collaboratively with facility and system leadership teams to develop and execute strategic planning of patient experience and patient engagement initiatives.
McBee has been recognized as one of the 2025 Humanism in Medicine Medalists by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation for his contributions to patient experience, health equity and compassionate care. He is also a three-time nationally recognized Becker’s Healthcare review “Chief Experience Officer to Know.” His passion for patient-centered care is fueled by his daughter’s experiences living with Rett Syndrome.
McBee graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and began his career as an intensive care unit nurse in Monmouth County. He later worked in executive positions at AtlantiCare, Jefferson Health and Temple University Health System.
