This space serves as the heart of the Multicultural Center. During the week, students often come here to study, work on homework, or just unwind
between classes. It’s also where we host many of our signature programs—like Real
Talk Tuesday, the Fred Flicks Series, and Cultural Heritage Month celebrations. Whether
you're attending an event or planning one of your own, this room is designed to bring
people together. If you’re interested in reserving the space for a student-led program,
meeting, or creative event, you can do so here.

The Conference Room offers students and faculty another versatile space on campus to connect and collaborate. Whether you need a quiet place to study with friends, book a group meeting, or even hold a smaller class session, this room is designed to accommodate a variety of needs.
Professors can reserve the space to teach classes or lead discussions in a more intimate setting, while student organizations can use it for planning, workshops, or events. It’s a flexible, comfortable environment that supports learning, teamwork, and creativity.

Living Room
Word Cloud
The Word Cloud features words like “belonging,” “respect,” and “social justice,” reflecting what the Multicultural Center means to students and aligning with President Joe’s Ethic of Care—dignity, kindness, respect, compassion, and civility.
Leaders Behind This Creation
Director Jovin Fernandez envisioned a visual that reflects the Center’s purpose. PREP Team member Courtney Combs ’25 interviewed students for a video shown at our One-Year Celebration—capturing the
very words that now live on our wall. Ahnjeles Maldonado ’26 brought those words to life by handcrafting the 3-D mural using paint and wooden
letters. Read more about Ahnjeles’s role and creative process, check out the article by Loukaia
Taylor ’22 here.
