College Walk Roof Drain Repairs near F Wing Atrium Entrance

Starting Wednesday, January 8th, USA Roof Contractors will be on-site to conduct roof drain repairs on College Walk, specifically in the area around the entrance to the F-Wing Atrium. Please proceed with caution in this area, avoid the construction zone, and stay clear of all materials related to the work. Avoid the area entirely, if possible. You may experience noise disturbances during this time. The repairs are expected to be completed by the end of the day on January 10th.

Exciting Announcement! On November 14, 2024, the University officially received approval from the NJ State Comptroller’s Office to move forward with the bidding process for the Library Learning Commons project. For more details and information on the next steps, please visit the Library Learning Commons Planning website. Construction is still on track, with completion scheduled for Fall 2026.

On Wednesday August 2, the right turning lane on Pomona Road at the intersection coming from the White Horse Pike will be closed due to additional county road work. You will be permitted to turn right at the light. Please proceed with caution and follow all road traffic rules.
Beginning Thursday August 3 through Friday August 4, between 7AM – 5PM a full detour will be in effect at the intersection of Pomona Road and Vera King Farris Drive for additional county road work. The detour route around the area of construction will include Moss Mill Road, Odessa Avenue and Leibig Avenue. Access to Stockton University via Jimmie Leeds Road, Delaware Avenue and Oak Pond Drive will remain available during the detour. Motorists using the Garden State Parkway may want to use Exit 41 instead of Exit 44. All members of the university community are encouraged to allow extra time for their travel to and from campus during construction hours.

Beginning at 7:00am on Saturday April 1, 2023, the ACMUA will begin their hydrant flushing program throughout the City of Atlantic City.
All hydrants throughout Atlantic City will be flushed starting in Ward 1 (Inlet) to Ward 6 (Stockton’s Campus). During this time, areas may experience discolored or cloudy water, as well as low water pressure. Should you discover this occurrence, please run the water until clear.

Throughout the upcoming four weeks, contractors will be on-site at the Galloway Campus performing annual testing of the fire alarm system. Today, May 18th, and continuing throughout the remainder of this week, testing will be performed in Buildings 30, 31 and 32 (A-Wing through M-Wing). USA Contractors began delivering supplies earlier this week in preparation for the commencement of the C & D–Wing Roof Replacement Project. Demolition will begin on Monday, May 20, 2019. In an effort to decrease the disruption to those in the area, some work has been scheduled to occur at night.

Building 41 & 42 Generator Testing

We would like to inform you that on Monday, March 13th, 2017, between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm, we will be testing the standby generators for Buildings 41 & 42. The only building that will be affected is the Sports Center. There will be two power outages lasting 5 to 10 minutes each. Egress lighting and fire alarm systems will not be affected.

This survey will include using a mobile lift for measuring and cutting wall and roof edge samples at the upper portions of the building. Unified Science Center I Electrical Shutdown

We would like to inform you that beginning at 6:00 am on Saturday, February 11th, 2017 electricity will temporarily be shut down in the Unified Science Center I and is expected to last roughly 14 to 16 hours. This shutdown will allow the contractor to connect electric feeders to the two new buildings for the Quad Project.
Generator power will be utilized for the USCI throughout the shutdown process protecting critical components servicing the building. It is recommended that faculty and staff who work in the USCI save all computer work prior to the shutdown.
There will be various contractor work areas during these operations:
- One on Vera King Farris Drive near the dam
- One at the entrance to Lot 1
- One at the entrance to Lot 4
- Two on the project site
Road closures are not expected during this work; however, Vera King Farris Drive will be reduced to one lane from Parking Lot 1 to Parking Lot 4. Please use caution when in these areas. Campus Police will be assisting with traffic control.

We would like to inform you that beginning at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection will be conducting a controlled burn behind the water plant. This controlled burn is a part of Stockton University’s master forestry plan and is in conjunction with the State Fire Service.
Please note, if the weather changes to unfavorable conditions, the controlled burn will be postponed.
