Nondiscrimination Statement

TITLE IX NON-DISCRIMINATION NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS AND EMPLOYEES

Stockton University has a policy that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Title IX prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs that receive federal funds. The law states:

“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance”. (Department of Education, www.ed.gov).

Types of discrimination that violate Title IX are sex discrimination, sexual harassment, including sexual assault, and other forms of sexual misconduct, failure to provide equal opportunity in athletics, and discrimination based on pregnancy.
