Career FairMore than 4,800 job-seekers attended Stockton University's first Atlantic City Gateway Career Fair on Feb. 13, taking advantage of the opportunity to meet with more than 80 employers from Atlantic City and South Jersey. Ospreys GiveThe Time is Now #OspreysGive
Stockton’s inaugural day of giving, Ospreys Give kicks off this Sunday, Feb 18. at 3 p.m. Ospreys Give is a powerful digital fundraising campaign to engage and unite alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends to support Stockton University initiatives. Ospreys Give will take place for 1969 minutes (nearly 33 hours) from Sunday, Feb. 18 at 3 p.m. to Monday, Feb. 19 at 11:49 p.m.

Visit the Ospreys Give website, watch the  Ospreys Give Launch Video, which premiered today, and plan to be part of this historical initiative for Stockton. Here’s how: Make a gift of any amount during Ospreys Give, check your Stockton email for updates, spread the word on your social media channels using the hashtag #OspreysGive and follow the Alumni and University social media accounts.

SPOTLIGHT ON

NISTS ConferenceTom Grites, assistant provost of Academic Support Services, and Jen Radwanski, director of New Student and Family Programs, and  Brandon Cheatham, a senior Health Science major, presented “Collaborative Efforts to Engage Transfer Students in Their Own Success” at the 16th Annual Conference of the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students. Cheatham was also recognized as a National Transfer Student Ambassador at the conference.

Feeling the Energy on Eagles’ Home Turf 

EaglesE-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES! Daniel Moscovici, associate professor of Environmental Science and Geology, and his Energy Planning Class (ENVL 3443) toured Lincoln Financial Field, Home of Super Bowl Champs, the Philadelphia Eagles, to learn about wind, solar and other environmental practices.

Mission 12On a Mission!
Drug delivery vehicles for controlled release anti-cancer drugs and insulin cannot self-assemble with uniform shape on Earth, but there’s a chance they can in outer space. An experiment designed by a Stockton team will launch to the International Space Station (ISS) this summer to get an answer.

TaiwanSchool of Education Tour in Taiwan
Ten students and faculty from the School of Education experienced an enriching and life-changing seven-day educational tour of Taiwan in December 2017 that included school visits and an academic conference arranged by Stockton Professor of Mathematics Chia-Lin Wu.

FROM THE SIDELINES

The women’s basketball team is competing in the NJAC Tournament. Stockton will host the game against Rutgers-Camden in the first round of the tournament this Saturday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m.

The men’s and women’s track & field teams will compete in the NJAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Monday, Feb. 19 at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.

Stockton Athletics panel discussion, "National Anthem Protests and Freedom of Expression,” during the University’s Unite Against Hate was mentioned in D3.Ticker.

Spring 2018- Take a Jitney Shuttle Tour to Stockton’s Atlantic City Campus
Learn more about living and learning at Stockton in Atlantic City. Mobile tours will all leave from the Stockton Campus Center. The short version tours will be about one hour. Longer tours, which include a walking tour, will take about two hours.

Feb. 27 – short – 3 p.m.
March 21 – long – 10 a.m.
April 3 – long – 10 a.m.
April 17 – long – 2 p.m.
