The Master of Social Work, MSW, at Stockton University prepares students for advanced social work practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities. The program focuses on marginalized populations through a social justice lens and builds the knowledge, values and skills needed to serve diverse communities.

Students study social work practice, policy, research, human behavior, cultural humility, advocacy and systems of oppression. Coursework begins with generalist social work practice and expands into anti-racist, anti-oppression and diversity-centered approaches. Students also complete practicum education in human service agencies, connecting classroom learning with professional experience in the field.
