First Ospreys: a Home for Stockton's First-Gen Students

First Ospreys is a retention initiative that celebrates, supports, and prepares first-generation students to ensure successful completion of their undergraduate studies. The program aims to connect students to existing programs and resources and to promote a sense of belonging within the Stockton community. First Ospreys recently earned a Bronze Award in First-Generation Student Success from NASPA, an international association for student affairs administrators in higher education.

First Ospreys Club

Students helping students. That’s the mission of the First Ospreys Club. They inspire and encourage each other through networking events and gatherings, pushing one another to dig deep, aim high and embrace their stories, their cultures, their ambitions and their dreams. Their desire is to heighten their educational experience at Stockton by giving back, embracing collaborative learning, participating in social activities, developing leadership skills and reaching out to their communities.
