September 2019

The Board of Trustees endorsed the University’s Strategic Plan.

Summer 2019

Six Strategic Plan Learning Sessions were held in May and June providing faculty, staff and students opportunities to learn more about each area of focus and hear the perspectives of others across the university.  See the overview statement for highlights from each session.  

May 2019

The Faculty Senate conducted a second reading and endorsed the plan at the Senate Retreat on May 17, 2019.

April 2019

The Faculty Senate introduced a first reading of the plan at the April 19, 2019 meeting.  

March 2019

The Institutional Strategic Plan Steering Committee met to review community feedback on the plan and developed a status report.

The Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs, presented on the planning process and Committee's status report to the Faculty Senate on March 22, 2019.

Strategic Plan Drafting Phase

October 2018

October 16:  DumontJanks scheduled for seventh and final visit to Stockton; will meet with the President and Cabinet, as well as the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, to prepare the implementation plan.

September 2018

September 4:  Fall Faculty Conference; draft of Stockton’s strategic plan made available to Stockton community.

September 18:  DumontJanks scheduled for sixth visit to Stockton; will meet with the Strategic Planning Steering Committee and host a University-wide open forum to present a revised draft of Stockton’s strategic plan.

August 2018

Strategic Planning Steering Committee met to discuss the first draft of Stockton’s strategic plan; questions, comments, and revisions are forwarded back to DumontJanks.

July 2018

DumontJanks completed fifth visit to Stockton; presents revised draft strategic plan to Stockton’s Board of Trustees.

June 2018

DumontJanks submits a first draft of Stockton’s strategic plan. The President’s Cabinet reviews the document and submits questions, comments, and revisions back to DumontJanks.

May 2018

DumontJanks completes third and fourth visits to Stockton; holds separate meetings with the University’s Board of Trustees; President and senior leaders; the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, also hosts a University-wide open forum to present an initial strategic planning “framework” document.

April 2018

DumontJanks completes second visit to Stockton; holds separate meetings with Cabinet members, the Stockton Federation of Teachers’ executive leaders, and the Strategic Planning Steering Committee. 

February 2018

DumontJanks completes first visit to Stockton; holds several group sessions:

  • 5 sessions with faculty senators and program coordinators & directors
  • 5 sessions with administrative leaders
  • 2 lunches with students and student leaders
  • 1 open forum with Stockton students, faculty, and staff
  • 1 session with the Strategic Enrollment Management Planning (SEMP) Council
  • 1 session with Stockton’s Strategic Planning Steering Committee 

December 2017

Stockton hires DumontJanks; formulates Strategic Planning Steering Committee, comprised of more than 40 students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
