President's Message

A Message from President Joe Bertolino

Hello, Ospreys!

One of my favorite parts of being Stockton’s president is seeing the incredible ways our students, faculty, staff and alumni show up every day - committed to learning, lifting each other up and writing Stockton’s next chapter together.

In this issue of Stockton Now, you’ll get a glimpse of that energy and excellence.

You’ll read about the dynamic programming that took place across campus spotlighting Indigenous cultures, reflecting our community’s dedication to learning from and honoring Indigenous voices and perspectives.

You’ll also meet Dr. Michael Palladino, our new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. From day one, he’s brought a spirit of collaboration and innovation to the work of advancing Stockton’s mission, and I know you’ll enjoy getting to know him better.

We’re shining a spotlight on the Council of Black Faculty and Staff, Stockton’s longest-running affinity group, which for over four decades has empowered students through advocacy, mentorship and nearly $300,000 in scholarships. Their story is a powerful reminder of the impact of community-led commitment.

And we’re proud to highlight a new opportunity for students to turn their financial savvy into leadership. Our student-led Investment Club is helping members explore markets, gain real-world experience, and develop skills that will serve them well beyond graduation.

I encourage you to dive into these stories and celebrate the creativity, leadership and resilience that make Stockton special. And don’t forget, you can always stay up to date with what’s happening on campus through my Eye on Stockton series and by following me on Instagram and Facebook.

Hope to see you soon.

Soar Higher! Go Ospreys!
President Joe
