Portrait Session Questions

Sanitization / Preventive Measures

  • Performing a thorough cleaning and sanitization of every photography set up
  • Pre-treating all caps, gowns, and props with Covid-19 approved Disinfecting fabric spray, and re-spraying between students throughout the photo shoot.
  • Utilizing disinfectant to regularly spray all hard contact surfaces between students
  • Masks to be worn by all Lors photographers and assistants
  • Having hand sanitizer stations in the photography area for student use

Social Distancing

  • Arranging the photography stations so that no student is closer than 10 feet from another student.
  • Spreading out the appointments to avoid overbooking.  One student scheduled every 6 minutes.  Each station takes 5 minutes, so by the time the next student on the schedule arrives, the previous student has already moved on to the next photo area)       .
  • Allowing no more than 3 students in the photo area at the same time (always at least 10 feet apart) so that there will never be more than 6 total people in the room at the same time including the photographers.
  • Clearly outlined distancing markers and signage.
  • Unfortunately, friends or family members of students will not be allowed in the photography areas

Additional Precautions

  • Closely monitoring the health and well-being of team members, and instructing anyone who is not feeling well to stay home.
  • Temporarily eliminating any poses wearing the cap or holding any Lors props.
  • Bringing extra wardrobe to allow time for sanitizing and drying in between usage.
  • Encouraging students to bring their own props for their casual poses.
  • Written instructions on sanitization and distancing in all correspondence to students/parents.

Yes! Photography sessions are held once a month through March of the Spring semester.

If you have not received an email from Lors Photography with log-in credentials, call Lors Photograhy Customer Service to schedule a session at 908-964-0847.

Depending on how busy the photographers are at the time, the amount of time your session takes will vary. Try to schedule your appointment where you will have around 30 – 60 minutes of free time (just incase!).

You can dress however you wish, but know that there will be a few poses taken to provide choices for your proof package that is sent to your home. Business casual - can be used as a professional headshot. Academic poses - cap and hood, just hood, cap with diploma, etc. If you wish to color coordinate your clothes to the hood color that you will be wearing, see the below hood color combinations. For bachelor’s and master’s candidates, academic attire will consist of a black gown plus colored hood according to your degree.
