Event Description: After reading selected works, Denise Duhamel will participate in a question and answer session with the audience. A reception will be held before the reading, where light refreshments will be served.

Writer Background Information: Denise Duhamel’s most recent book of poetry is entitled “Scald” (Pittsburgh, 2017). Another one of her books, “Blowout” (Pittsburgh, 2013) was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her other titles include “Ka-Ching!,” “Two and Two,” “Queen for a Day: Selected and New Poems,” “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “Kinky.” She is a recipient of fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts and was the guest editor for The Best American Poetry 2013. Duhamel is currently a professor at Florida International University in Miami.
