How to Apply
The John R. Elliott Character & Leadership Program is a certification program open to rising juniors and seniors.
Eligiblility Requirements:
In order to be eligible, candidates must:
- Be enrolled full time at Stockton University with junior or senior level status.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Have demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Have an established record of extra-curricular activities that illustrate leadership
potential.
- Examples may include, but are not limited to:
- Positions of student leadership (club or organization officer, Student Senate);
- A record of sustained community service;
- Work experiences that showcase your ability to balance academic coursework and professional development.

Application Process:
Each applicant must submit:
- A 3-minute video or 500 word written essay which addresses the following:
- What does effective leadership look like to you?
- What is the Vision for the future of your leadership path?
- How would you define good character?
- Resume
- Most recent transcript
- Two letters of reccomendation:
- A letter of recommendation from an individual who can speak to your personal or academic success, community engagement, or other areas of achievement. This could be a Stockton faculty or staff member.
- A letter of recommendation from someone who can speak about your character. This could be an employer, current mentor, etc.
- Submit your materials via the online application form.
