Professor of Mathematics
BIOGRAPHYDr. Chia-Lin Wu came to Stockton as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics in 1996. He is currently Professor of Mathematics and the coordinator of Math program. Dr. Wu has taught a wide range of Mathematics courses, Computer Science, and Education courses. He is specializing in mathematical analysis, probability and Statistics with interests in math education and has developed G course GNM 2113 History of Math, Education course EDUC 2335 Middle School Math and taught GEN 1101 Foundations in Math for many years. Dr. Wu has been actively involved with math education. He has formed and managed two different community partnerships with local elementary, middle, and high schools that that provide professional development for in-service mathematics teachers: the Mathematics Partnership Program (MaPP) and the Mathematics and Science Partnership (MSP). Dr. Wu’s scholarly activities include math education, pedagogy, and medical statistics. He has published articles in peer reviewed journals and conference presentations. He has been involved with four NSF grants. He is currently serving as the director of NSF grant "Stockton Coastal Collaborative" through New Jersey Department of Education.
Dr. Wu is also leading the undergraduate research program with FAA on various projects starting Spring 2016. Dr. Wu has been serving as Mathematics program coordinator since 2010.
