EDUCATION

Ph.D., Oceanography, Rutgers University
B.A., Biological Sciences, Rutgers University

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Microbial ecology, biogeochemistry, biological oceanography

COURSES TAUGHT

 Microbiology for Health Science

RESEARCH INTERESTS

The Dark Ecosystems, Energy, and Production laboratory at Stockton studies microbial ecology and biogeochemistry in the dark. I use a combination of cutting-edge molecular and biochemical tools to study how microbes make a living in a wide range of habitats, including deep salt marsh mud, the aphotic ocean, serpentinite-hosted aquifers, and (possibly) icy moons in our solar system.
