Dr. Jamie Cromartie,
Associate Professor of Environmental Studies at Stockton, and Vice-President of
the American
Entomological Society, is
coordinating the days events. Although
campus pathways are wide and clear, he said, participants who wish to examine
fields and woodland areas should bring insect repellant to minimize the risk of
attracting ticks and chiggers. He also
advises wearing long pants and socks.
Participants should
bring a brown bag lunch and drinks. Limited vending machine food will be available
on campus. Cameras, collecting equipment
and specimen containers are welcome.
A tentative schedule of events is attached. Registration will be ongoing throughout the day. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $1.00 for children under 15. For more information contact Dr. Cromartie at (609) 652-4413, or by email at jamie.cromartie@stockton.edu
