Albert L. Gutierrez to Join Richard Stockton College Board of Trustees

GALLOWAY TWP., NJ Albert L. Gutierrez the President and CEO of Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, NJ will be sworn in today as a member of the Board of Trustees of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey.

 

Gutierrez, who has been with the hospital and a leading member of the community since 1985, replaces Carmen Matos, whose term expired. Gutierrez was appointed to a six-year term expiring in 2011.

 

A graduate of St. Joseph Universitys Executive MBA Program and Thomas Edison State College with a BS and a concentration in Radiologic Science, Gutierrez has been the Chief Executive Officer of Shore Memorial since August 2002. From 1995 to 2002 he served as Vice President of Professional Services and from 1992 to 1995 as Administrative Director of Professional Services, CQI, and Regulatory Affairs. His first position at the facility, from 1985 to 1992 was Administrative Director of Radiology.

 

He came to Shore Memorial from Beth Israel Hospital in Passaic, where he was Chief Radiologic Technologist from 1980 to 1985. He previously worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, New York; Hospital Center at Orange; and Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.

 

Fluent in Spanish and English, Gutierrez is married and the father of two children. He is a fitness training enthusiast and enjoys gardening and reading.
