WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:

Please join us to learn about the legacy of the Armenian Genocide. This workshop will introduce print, video, and web-based approaches to teaching about the victimization of Armenians in the Ottoman Empire during WWI and how it became the archetype for other incidents of genocide in the 20th century.

WORKSHOP GOALS:

  • To explore and re-examine the history of the Armenian Genocide as well as exposure to the fundamental structure of genocide.

  • To gain resources for teaching about the Armenian Genocide including historical documents, resource lists, and lesson plans.

  • To provide teaching strategies and approaches for teaching about the Armenian Genocide.
