Students will study and travel to Greece!

The course will focus on environmental aspects of Greece including: food, geography, urban planning, wildlife, tourism, religion, economics, art, archaeology, history, transportation, migration, and more. Then, on May 9, 2022 we travel to Greece and return to May 17, 2022. We will be based out of Athens and complete curriculum outlined projects and activities, which seeing the sites.

Course requires additional fee for travel & registration requires Permission of Instructor (POI) from Dr. Moscovici. 

Students interested in faculty led programs must receive permission of the program instructor to enroll into the course and participate in the study abroad program. Students must enroll into GIS 4655 Greece: Geography, Culture & Tourism, to gain permission to travel to Greece.

Once permitted to enroll into the course, you will be required to create and to complete a Study Abroad application with the Office of Global Engagement, and carefully observe the established deposit schedule for the study abroad trip to Greece.

  2. Upon acceptance, proceed to register into GIS 4655 for Spring 2022;
  3. To create your required Study Abroad Application

  4. Follow program deposit schedule for the study abroad trip to Greece.

The total cost of the abroad section of your program includes:

  • Round trip airfare
  • Airport transfer to/from hotel
  • Hotel accommodations
  • 1 group dinner
  • Local transportation to/from scheduled daily activities
  • Entrances into cultural sites
  • Guides and drivers
  • $200 study abroad fee
  • International student insurance.

Please take care to observe your required monthly deposits on the program, as outlined below, and other costs not subject to deposit requirements (to be taken care of by the student).
